HAXEY QUAYS near Misterton

The Raiders have had a long standing friendship with Lindum DA, a region of the Camping and Caravan Club, they have an Annual Country and Western Meet which is held on August bank holiday weekend, normally  the venue for this event has been held at Goltho near Wragby, however the meet has outgrown the field and they have now moved to a new venue at Haxey Quays near Misterton,

The Raiders provide an authentic western camp over the weekend, Plus entertainment for the adults and children, this takes the form of games and quick draw competitions. as well as performing one of our re-enactment sketches we normally finish the last evening with The Trilogy

The competitions can be fairly interesting particularly the Knife and Axe throwing, when we have some over zealous competitors who miss the target completely,

 Some of us have had to spend quite a lot of our time trying to retrieve an axe or knives from the nettles!
